Leaked: Sony H3 long-zoom digital camera (Sony Canada leak)

Eagle-eyed dpreview forum users have noticed that a new H-series Sony Cybershot camera came up at the Sony Canada website! I'm sure this was another "innocent leak" :) As usual, the Sony Canada page for the camera has now been pulled down. Not all the pages have been pulled down. The Sony H3 microsite is still up and running. Apparently not enough buzz has been generated yet ;-) Detailed Specs for the H3 here! (from Sony).

Here are the threads that discovered the Sony Cybershot H3: thread #1, thread #2, thread #3, thread #4.

The camera appears to be an 8mp 1/2.5" sensor, 10x Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar optical zoom (38-380mm), SuperSteadyShot Optical (aka Optical Image Stabilization), Bionic sensor (Bionz), aiming at the mid-range of the 1/2.5" superzoom market. A more compact size, perhaps Sony trying to come up with their version of the Panasonic TZ-series? Dimensions: 106.0mm x 68.5mm x 47.5mm. This is quite small for a superzoom, especially compared to the other Sonys!.

Other items of interest: accepts conversion lenses via adapter ring, 330 CIPA LiIon battery (NP-BG1), manual exposure but no shutter/aperture priority, AF assist, 2.5" TFT (115k), Memorystick, 30fps VGA, 0.29 second shutter lag
