    News from Japan
  • We have a number of Japanese announcements of already announced cameras from Some manufacturers provide their monthly production outputs with the Japanese announcement so that's always something of interest to look at!
  • Pentax Optio Z10, 40,000 per month initial production output (this camera may remind you of the Casio EX-V7 and EX-V8. Certainly not the first time of a similar Pentax/Casio camera)
  • Olympus FE220D, Oly Japan press release. In case you were wondering, FE stands for Friendly and Easy :-) This is a 7mp 1/2.5", 3x optical, 2.5" LCD, 180 CIPA LiIon. Olympus does not provide monthly outputs.
  • Fuji F50fd, black finish version goes on sale in late September. No production numbers given. Fuji used to provide those in the past.
  • Fuji Z100fd goes on sale in Japan in late September in four fashionable colors.
