Are you kidding? If you call this super bargain... then K10D, superior in everything to D30, at $200 less what is ?

I am not kidding :) Besides, I only called it a "bargain", not a "super bargain" :)

There are different types of bargains. For someone interested in buying a DSLR without having a specific mount affiliation, obviously the K10D is an amazing bargain at the current prices.

However, a number of people are already "invested" or "aligned" with a specific mount. In this instance, and specifically for Canon users, the 30D is currently the biggest bang for the buck DSLR. So the additional price drop made it a bargain alert :)

This is a good idea, perhaps I should include an explanation why a bargain is such when posted, but I tend to get long winded, a two paragraph post can easily turn out into a 4-page post! Just like this comment!!!
