New camera announcements in November 2007

This is our monthly recap of new digital camera announcements for the month of November 2007. As you can expect, this was a rather quiet month, but it had one "November surprise".

The November surprise being the Sigma update on the DP-1, which didn't really tell us anything concrete, but it was a re-development notice. This will probably break the record of the Polaroid X530 as the most long-winded camera (also using a Foveon sensor - coincidence?) So the wait for the Sigma DP-1 continues...

The only new camera was the Ricoh RR770, that was quietly introduced in some markets. And while we are on the topic of Ricoh, just two days before November came, Ricoh gaves us an October surprise: The Ricoh GRD II. You can order the GRDII from Adorama for $700.

Since this is a slow month, we'll highlight the previous monthly round-up we had here at 1001 Noisy Cameras:

  • October 2007 (4 new cameras)
  • September 2007 (4 new cameras)
  • August 2007 (40 new cameras)
  • July 2007 (26 new cameras)
