New Pentax Optio S12, M50 and E50 (and A40 to ship)

Yes, the new Pentax K20D, K200D and new lenses are now official! The leaks became a lake, and the lake became the official announcement! More on those in a few minutes, but first let's take a look at a trio of new Pentax Optio compacts!

    Meet the Pentax E50
  • 8mp 1/2.5" sensor
  • 3x optical zoom (37.5mm to 112.5mm)
  • 2.4" LCD (110k) - note that difference in LCD quality

    The A40 is coming!
    The Optio A40 is finally coming, after the battery issues were resolved. As you may recall a fire at a Matsushita factory in Japan in late 2007 caused delays in the delivery of this LiIon based camera.
