Noisy Round-up: Casio EX-Z200 and Z100 production outputs and more reviews

We continue with the "Noisy Wrap-up" experiment, but now we give it a new name, "Noisy Round Up" :)

We also posted a new edition of the Photography Soup with lots of stories from around the net, and noted a J&R special on the Nikon 70-200 f2.8 lens.

For one thing, we have new revelations from Casio, the Casio EX-Z100 and EX-Z200 will be produced at a combined monthly production output rate of 200,000 units per month. These are Casio's bread and butter models,, and they have a new twist: a wide-angle zoom lens starting at 28mm, but also a smaller 10mp 1/2.33" sensor. More in our announcement coverage.

Reviews galore
We added a new wave of reviews in the Power compacts review matrix. Reviews were added for the Nikon P5000 and P5100. If only Nikon gave them RAW and a few more advanced features! Come on Nikon, wake up and smell the opportunity!

Shopping spree
The Canon 30D with the 18-55 EF-S is listed at Amazon for $900, offered by Adorama.

Price drop alert! The Ricoh R7 has gone down from $280 to $250 at Adorama. There is good reason for that, the new Ricoh R8 has just been announced. The R8 pre-order is set at $400, so bargain hunters may be interested in the $250 Caplio R7 instead.

Lenses without breaking the bank is the goal of third party lens makers. The Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Macro, Nikon flavor, is offered for $483 at Amazon.

Fans of pre-ordering may be interested at the Fuji S8100fd listed at Amazon for $400.
