Noisy Round-up: Ch-ch-ch-changes!

One of the comments we get from our readers is that this blog suffers from the information overload compression and clutter syndrome. So in an attempt to de-clutter and de-congest things, we will be making some changes at the top of the blog. Fear not, if the changes make things worse, we can easily undo them. Be sure to let us know either way :) This blog is optimized for 1280px wide, has 1024px as a baseline, and unfortunately cannot help 800x600 or VGA resolutions. At 1900+ wide it may look a little bit disembodied :)

Tomorrow we will have a "week in review" type of a post, more on that... tomorrow. Meanwhile the next Photography Soup installment will be published either mid-day Sunday or early Monday. And on Monday, there will be something of great interest to those interested in fine art photography. It's not a new camera, it's a new website :-)

Okay, the updates are done now, the textual clutter at the middle top of the page has been replaced by pictures, instead of lots of text, which hopefully makes the website easier on the eyes. This makes the "Shopping Row" really a row now - a row of pictures. The rest of the content has been "absorbed" in the left and right sidebar.

We also added a new heading in the left sidebar, the "Hot Topics of 2008", since we have about 3-4 more "Hot Topics" headings elsewhere.

As always, most of the main blog posts and categories are included in the pull-down menus at the top of the blog. Each one opens in a new window for your convenience.

We also changed the RSS subscribe button, from a big oragne square, to a more stylish edible orange square ;-) The buttons are provided free of charge at Nyssajbrown.net which we thank :)

Looking forward to seeing the changes. Have you thought about the possibility of doing a Noisy podcast?

Thanks! That's a good idea for the future! My "to do" list is getting longer and longer.
