Noisy U: The Essence of Photography DVD by John Upton

Does the name John Upton sound familiar? If you don't want me to spoil it, take a look at your photography bookshelves... Still not sure? Here's another hint: Barbara London... Want more hints? The big and heavy Photography textbooks that survived the test of time and are available seemingly in two hundred different editions.

That John Upton has produced a DVD with Calumet Photo called "The Essence of Photography". The DVD is available by Calumet on Amazon for the price of $40 with USPS priority mail included. Those familiar with priority mail know that DVDs are very USPS priority mail friendly because of weight and size.

We haven't seen the DVD, but the product description says that it is in 16:9 widescreen format. The description says the DVD is aimed at beginners and advanced amateurs.

You can also purchase it directly from Calumet as well, for the same price, $40, and free usps priority mail shipping.

Meet the author
We are a poor blog, so we can't afford to travel and meet the author in person, but we can google him :) Here is John Upton's photography site. This is a Flash site, so if your browser is allergic to Flash, you will see nothing. You can also see some and purchase some of his work at No flash required!

PS> What does "Noisy U" mean? It's just a name we just randomly coined up for our posts that fall into the realm of learning and education and such. Rumors that we are planning to build a 30,000 student campus are completely unfounded :)
