Noisy Wrap-Up: Lenses, Market Share, Reviews, and Exposure

Welcome to another edition of our experimental "Noisy Wrap-Up". Regular readers may ask, What's the difference between a "noisy wrap-up" and the "photography soup"? The main difference is that the "noisy wrap-up" mainly focuses on posts here at 1001 Noisy, while the Photography Soup covers stories from all around the web.

Recent stories
Nikonians are offering a free silver trial membership, while Paxton Prints will begin to feature photographers, a good opportunity for additional exposure.

On the numbers front, the 2007 world-wide market share numbers have been posted, and the battle for the #3 spot was very fierce. Who won?

We also posted Calumet Photo's Canon lens specials, and Episode IV of our Thank-a-thon.

At RAWsumer, we posted about the Ricoh GRD II review by Jeff Keller at DC Resource. Check all our Ricoh coverage with the Ricoh tag (18 posts).

Reviews Galore
We continued with our One-a-Day theme and added reviews of the Fuji F50fd to the Power Compacts Review Matrix.

Coming Soon
We are planning to have a new episode of the Photography Soup on Thursday, and then catch-up with the latest wave of new and recent DSLR reviews at the DSLR Review Matrix.

Later on Thursday or on Friday we will launch the Superzoom Review Matrix. It will be just like the other two review matrices mentioned above, but will only feature superzoom digital cameras.

And looking further down the line, at around April 2008 (talk about long term blog planning), we plan to launch the 4th review matrix, that one covering Lenses!

Shopping Spree
Calumet Photo has a sale on 15 Canon lenses. This comes one day after the extended Canon instant lens rebates expired.
