We have the Return of the King, the Return of the Sith, and now the Return of the Yashica. How much of it is the soul of the real Yashica and how much of it is it just the branding rights? We blog, you decide!
Amateur Photographer UK has some details on four new Yashica-branded digital cameras to go on sale in the UK around March 1, 2008.
For more details on the Yashica digital camera line-up, be sure to check the Yashica digital cameras page.
The "flagship" (more like the canoe) of the line-up is the EZ 8032, which is your typical 8mp, 3x optical zoom (35-105mm), LiIon-based, SD/MMC point and shoot digital camera.
The other lovelies in the line-up include the EZ-7032, available in silver or black, which looks similar to the EZ-8032, the EZ-7030 which reminds us of some Olympus Stylus models.
Also in the line-up is the EZF-725, which looks like a textbook AA-based point and shoot digicam.
The attack of the clones continues with the DSC-T88 (smells Sony?), and the EZ-7033 (smells Coolpixie?)

And here I was hoping for a digital Yashica Mat 124G.
Another brand "capitalizing" on the name by selling naming rights it seems.
Who would be next? Contax?
