The Noisy Situation Room Digital Camera Buzz

Welcome to the Noisy Situation Room where hot topics and the latest buzz are clustered together in one noisy room! We couldn't afford 100" LCD HDTVs, so instead we got text boxes :) For more on this feature, check the bottom of this post. If you have any feedback on this, please let us know.

If this information overload post is just too much, you can instead check the minimalist ten stories only page.

Brand new is the experimental Readers Choice box, where you, the readers, pick the stories. For details on how to do this, please check the Reader Choice post.

All but one of the boxes below are selected manually using the Google Reader. We also include the news feed from the Imaging Insider, in the "Imaging Insider News" box.

If you would like your site or blog added (or removed from) the pool of potential sources for this feature, just let us know, at {1001noisycameras} [at] (gmail) {dot} [com].

PS1> If you are reading this through an RSS news reader and you are not seeing any boxes above, it probably means that the widgets used are not compatible with the RSS reader.

PS2> If you are experiencing any technical problems with this post, please let us know! We are not able to test all possible browser and computer combinations, so your help is appreciated :)

PS3> If you like this, you can also Digg it, or find it del.ic.ious. Or you can Stumble Upon It.

PS4> This feature is also known as the 1001 Second NewsHour, because, rumor has it, it takes the average person 1001 seconds to go through this post ;-) If you find it helpful, be sure to bookmark it! Here is the permalink.

I am reading this using Firefox and PCLinuxOS- and I'm not seeing the boxes.

I'll try it again when I boot back into Windows.

Thanks for letting me know! The combination of this widgets and blogger does seem to be a bit jittery!

Ok, I got it now. Problem was on my end.

It was one of my Firefox extensions- NoScript- that was blocking it.

This is a new install of PCLinuxOS (running on my notebook from a thumb drive..) so I am still in the process of setting up Firefox to my liking.

Works now, looks good!

Great work on the site.

Man, you are really gonna have your work cut out for you the closer it gets to Photokina! ;-)

Thanks for the update! The widgets are script-based so that's probably why. I'll try to find a way to convert them to HTML, but I don't know if that's possible.

I am hoping that by Photokina I will install a blogging module and a WiFi/Ethernet combo port in my brain :)
