Leaked? Olympus E520 DSLR? (via DSLR blog)

The DSLR blog has spotted a post in the DSLR User forums where a user has spotted a reference of the Olympus E520 DSLR on the Olympus UK website. This was a name reference, no details or pictures of the camera have been leaked.

Check DSLR blog for a link to the cached page. As you can see from the text, this was not a typo! The Oly page has been "corrected" since.

Of course an Olympus E520 would hardly be a surprise, since Olympus has already launched the E420, along with the 25mm pancake. The E410 and E510 were a dynamic duo in the Olympus line-up, so it makes perfect sense to have a E420 and E520 duo. We are assuming that the trade-offs between the two will be similar, with the most prominent perhaps being "camera size vs sensor-shift stabilization". Not that the E510 is a giant camera, but smaller cameras have a ...bigger appeal among fans of smaller cameras ;-)

There's an individual on the DPR forums you may have seen who is saying some interesting things about an E-510 replacement for Photokina. It sounds a little far-fetched (class-leading dynamic range, etc), but still interesting. I like rumors =).

Rumors are fun! Is it the Panasonic sensor or the Kodak sensor rumors? :)
