In-stock alert: Nikon D3 and Canon 1Ds Mark III at Calumet

Calumet has received a jumbo drop of Nikon D3 and Canon 1Ds Mark III units. To "temptify" this even more, they are offering an 8gb Lexar UDMA Compact Flash card for free with these two DSLRs. To find the special kits with the free 8gb card, search for product code NZ24030K (Nikon D300) or EC2775K (Canon 1Ds Mark III) at Calumet Photo. Or search for the camera name, and you will see two kits, the standard one and the one with the free card. Both are priced at $5000 and $8000 respectively.

The free 8gb Lexar UDMA card
The 8gb Lexar UDMA 300x CF memory card is manufacturer model CF8GB300381 and Calumet stock number IM20636. Its price is $170. The card itself includes Corel Paint Shop Pro X. The free memory card offer is good until 5/5/2008!

The Nikon D3
Elegant, regal, and wearing a black evening gown at the TIPA awards, the Nikon D3... Oops, for a moment we thought we were TMZ for Cameras :) The D3 received the highly-anticipated dpreview review a few days ago, and we covered the reactions right here. For more, but not all Nikon D3 reviews, be sure to check the DSLR Review Matrix, which badly needs to be updated. We are making the update of the DSLR Review Matrix the "Big Monday" feature of May 12, so we hope to get it done by then.

The Canon 1Ds Mark III
You can also find some 1Ds Mark III reviews in the DSLR Review Matrix, the highest impact review so far perhaps the one by Phil Greenspun at Photo.net. Also reviewed by Phil Holland. What is the connection between the name Phil and camera reviews? Someone please tell me this is just a simple coincidence. Sure, sure, just a coincidence ;-) Also reviewed in dairy format by Outback Photo. You can still read it even if you are lactose intolerant :)
