Weekend Shopper: Memorial Day is just around the corner

Welcome to a new edition of the Weekend Shopper, our weekly weekend bargain hunting and shopping round-up. If you are not interested in shopping and bargain and hunting, be sure to check our 100 most recent posts, and also take a look at our Flickr Pool Showcase, and submit your pictures if you like. We rotate that post on the front page of the blog regularly. This randomly showcases pictures from the Flickr pool. Please do not lobby us, we do not select which images to feature, the Flickr computers randomly pick pictures from the pool :)

Okay, now it's just us shopaholics, the rest of the people are gone :) Don't tell them about the great bargains they are missing. This post will be updated throughout the weekend.

The Nikon D60 with the 18-55 DX VR kit lens is not just for Ashton Kutcher who seems to be on every other TV ad these days promoting Nikon. But fear not, this DSLR is not just for dumb celebrities without any acting skills. It's also for photographers going for $667 at the momentAmazon
We too are sometimes guilty of pandering to the CaNikon, and not giving the other manufacturers a lot of air time. So here we go, Pentax's new top DSLR, the lovely K20D body only is available for $1099. Magic Lantern writer Peter Burian has reviewed this DSLR for Shutterbug.Amazon
