Weekend Shopper: Canon 40D and Nikon D60 specials by Cameta

We have an abbreviated edition of the Weekend Shopper, with a couple of DSLR bundles of interest by Cameta Cameras on Amazon. We start with the Canon 40D body only, along with a bonus 8gb Transend 133x Compact Flash card, extra BP-511 Canon battery, and trinkets for $945 plus $19 shipping. The typical price for the 40D body only kit is $940 at Amazon, B&H Photo and Adorama. These are USA items, not gray market by the way.

The second DSLR bundle of interest by Cameta-upon-Amazon is the Nikon D60 2-lens kit, going for $785 with $19 shipping and handling. The typical price for the two-lens kit on its own is $800. The lenses are the 18-55 DX VR and AF-S 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED DX, along with a bonus Spare EN-EL9 Li-Ion Battery Pack. The kit also includes a Nikon system case, USB 2.0 memory card reader, and a few more trinkets.

But wait, there's more! We just learned of a new weekend sale at OneCall.com, where the Canon Digital Rebel XSi 450D Body Only goes for $745 with 3-day FedEx shipping included. The body only is ideal if you already have or do not need the kit lens. But this kit lens is the IS edition, and if you have a use for it (use, gift (verb), trade, or sell), then it's a better bang for the buck to get the bundle with the 18-55 EF-S IS lens.

Yes, we do have a softer side ;-)
