New Kodak Easyshare C913 introleaked at Amazon

I think Kodak has found the secret to always remain at the top of the headline news at photography sites and blog. Announce a new camera every few hours :-) While surfing around at Amazon, we noticed yet another new Kodak camera, this time the Kodak C913 available in pink and silver, with a pre-order price of $120 and Fall availability.

The C913 follows up on the sub-$100 cameras C813, C713, and C613, which were featured in this week's $100 Digital Cameras: Junk or Steals feature. As you can expect, it has a 9mp 1/2.5" sensor (cringe-alert), a 3x optical zoom lens, 2.4" LCD, SD/MMC, AA batteries, and such. It may come as a great disappointment however that it does not have face detection ;-)

A basic Google search has found more details about this camera at Kodak itself, and also at Imaging Resource, and Polish site Fotopolis, and not much else.

And while visiting Fotopolis.pl, we noticed that they are mentioned a special Beijing Olympics Kodak M-series camera, the M2008. For a close up picture of the camera with the Olympics logo and such, check out Fotopolis. This camera is also featured at other sites as well, including super-gadget-blog Engadget. It is a special version of the M1033.
