Fact or Fiction: First real Nikon D90 surfaces?

While the D700 continues to generate buzz with its new one-review-a-day pace, the mythical-becoming-real Nikon D90 continues to be of a great interest among many Nikonians.

NikonRumors.com has posted what could be the first real D90 body picture. The source of the photo is not mentioned in the post. There is a 45-comment discussion there talking about it, and a poll with over 1000+ voters, and the veto-proof majority thinks it is real.

The dpreview Nikon D90-to-D40 forum is also discussing the picture, and among the people commenting are Nikon guru Thom Hogan... And in a different thread, the forum users are wandering if the unannounced D90 is a worthy upgrade.

One of the things we noticed when we did the D90 rumor round-up a couple of days ago was that while the Nikon forums across the internet were a-buzz with the D90, there was very little talk among fans of other brands, who were a lot more interested in discussing the Micro Four Thirds mysteriment by Olympus and Panasonic. Stay tuned for a MFT round-up in the next few hours.

PS: "Mysteriment" = mystery + experiment
