Weekend Shopper: Let them have Foveon!

There are of course rumors of a Sigma SD15, after all it was the Sigma founder who fanned the flames at PMA 2008, but if you want to have Foveon now, there is only one choice, the Sigma SD14 body only, now down to $500 via Cameta Cameras on Amazon. For a list of SD14 reviews, be sure to check the DSLR Review Organizer.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a camera for the person who breaks or loses everything, there is always the $80 GE A735, with a 3x optical zoom. But that's not the only camera in this price range, be sure to check our recent $100 Cameras: Junk or Steals.

Continuing with the bargain theme, for three days only, you can get a 4gb Sandisk SDHC Memory Card (SDSD4GBHC, Class 4, videoHD) for just $10 at Abe's of Maine, which also has the D700 in-stock. The $10 memory card special ends on Sunday night.

We are preparing a special round-up on the new Lenovo W700 laptop that "flirts" with photographers. If you can't wait, you can pre-order it via the Mac Mall.

And expiring today (Saturday) is a $40 free after rebate notebook travel kit from Nexxtech at Circuit City. This just came back in-stock, and not sure how long it is going to last. The rebate offer expires at the end of day on Saturday.

And a 2gb Kingston SD memory card for just $7.49, sold and shipped by Amazon herself. This is the retail package, and no rebates needed. This puts it at about $3.75 per gigabyte :)
