The recently announced Canon 18-200 IS superzoom EF-S lens is now taking pre-orders at Amazon for the price of $700. IS and the Canon brand name explain why this is priced higher than some of the TamTokSig offerings.

I've been meaning to buy the Nikon equivalent to this lens since I read Ken Rockwell's glowing review of it. I'm excited to see how Canon's offering ends up stacking up.
Yeah, there's a lot of versatility in a single lens with IS/VR too!
